Responsibility :
Archiving database
Assisting in hardware capacity planning as well as re-sizing.
Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialised role
Contributing to database sharding, clustering solutions, day to day database migrations, performance optimization, tuning, and Database troubleshooting.
Database design and development
Ensuring that databases meet user requirements
Liasing with developer, operational staff, and managers
Managing database access
Managing database security and integrity and backup procedures
Managing optimal installation and configuration of RDBMS and NoSQL databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and Mongodb.
Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
Perform operational tasks to resolve all incidents/requests in a timely manner and within the agreed SLA.
Perform Proactive Performance Monitoring and provide applicable suggestions
Protect operations by keeping information confidential
Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
Writing disaster recovery plans
Requirement :
Required to have knowledge of Database Administration in Oracle
Must have been an Oracle Database Administrator for at least 3 years
Knowledge of handling SQL Server / MySQL / Postgresql / MongoDB / Redis Other databases would be advantageous
Knowledge of Oracle SAP would be advantageous
Must have hands-on in handling Oracle Databases of large size (in TBs)
Must have working knowledge of Oracle Dataguard, Upgrade, Migration and Backup Restore Database
Experienced in installing database software
Experienced in database configuration
Experienced in monitoring and maintaining a health system database
Make a backup and restore procedure design
Experienced in carrying out disaster recovery system procedures
Experienced in running regular maintenance database servers
